Bids for Community Sidewalk Snow Removal
The board is interested in accepting
bids on snow removal from the community sidewalks from a reliable teen or
homeowner. The sidewalks are in front of the open space areas on Andylin Way
and Gemini Drive. If you are interested, please send bids to via the
Carrolltowne HOA

2011 Carrolltowne HOA Spring/Summer Newsletter
Spring has sprung...
Spring is in full bloom. What a great time to spruce up the yard and get ready for summer. The HOA is going to rent two yard waste only dumpsters on Saturday, May 21, 2011. We are planning on having the dumpsters available from 9 am to 1 pm. One dumpster will be on King Richard Road, and the other one will be placed around the Gemini Road open space. These are in place for those residents who are up to date on their assessments. Please come with identification showing your address so that we are sure only our HOA members are taking advantage of the dumpsters. Items not permitted in accordance to the hauling company include cement/pavers/driveway material, stumps or root balls, and pressure treated wood. HOA volunteers will be monitoring the material so we have no surprises when the items are dumped. Please check our website for updates.
Area Refuse is offering a special price if Carrolltowne becomes their customer. It would mean that we would predominately have just one trash company coming through the neighborhood. They would provide large garbage totes and recycling totes with wheels and a lid, curbside yard waste pick up 2x month, Christmas Tree pickup, and 2 large dumpsters once a year for community bulk items. This would be $19.58 a month payable annually. We do have to have a majority of the neighborhood interested (about 230 out of the 259 houses). If you are interested or interested in seeing what the interest is in your area of the neighborhood, please contact us through our website. We can be reached at carrolltowneassociation@gmail.com.
Updated Website
Our web site is back up and running. Thanks to neighbor Mort Shuman who undertook that project. We will attempt to take e-mails again. Please keep in mind that we are neighbors and are volunteering. We welcome suggestions as well as the help to implement those suggestions! We would also like to get a neighborhood database so that we can communicate easier.
Social Events
Thanks to Judy Reed, the Easter Egg hunt was again a success. There were lots of eggs to be hunted for, as well as various games and prizes. Judy is looking for a co-chair person for next year.
The neighborhood yard sale is Saturday, May 14, 2011 - rain or shine. We wish everyone success in weeding out their treasures!
Anyone interested in organizing a summer activity, please let us know. You can reach us at carrolltowneassociation@gmail.com.
Mark your calendars in October - details for the date for the Halloween Parade will be coming soon!
Curb Appeal
Please remember to be a good neighbor. It is against by laws to have your grass longer than 4”, for sheds and vegetable gardens to be in front of the back wall of your house. Garbage cans, grills and other backyard furniture should be kept in the backyard.
Tennis Courts
If you previously had a key to the tennis courts, we have a new lock. The other one was misplaced. Please contact us to gain access again to the Courts.
